t-value is a statistical value usually arising after a statistical test.

From a normal distributed random variable Z and a chi-square distributed random variable V with nu degrees of freedom:

<math>T = \frac{Z}{\sqrt{V/\nu}}</math>

With a given t-value, degrees of freedom and a standard deviation set to 1 the 'x' can be computed as:

<math>x = t \sqrt{1/\nu}</math>
