Seasonal changes in brain serotonin transporter binding in short serotonin transporter linked polymorphic region-allele carriers but not in long-allele homozygotes (a previous draft was called Seasonal changes in brain serotonin transporter binding in short 5-HTTLPR-allele carriers but not in long-allele homozygotes) reports positron emission tomography study using the DASB ligand examining the serotonin transporter binding potential its correlation to seasonality, here the time of year the subjects were scanned.
The study was described in Danish media.
Group 1 of 57 healthy with 37 males and 20 females were included in the study.
The Danish group had a mean age of 34.
The study on the human subjects was approved by the Ethics Committee of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg.
