IntelliGenWiki: an intelligent semantic wiki for life sciences describes IntelliGenWiki a MediaWiki-based wiki with natural language processing (NLP) The data is represented via a Semantic MediaWiki extension. The NLP is handled with a General Architecture for Text Engineering (GATE) pipeline.

The system can extract and query on text entities representing, e.g., enzymes and organisms.

The system was evaluation on 30 PubMed abstract documents.
