WOROI: 407 - Reticular formation

Areas in the brain stem usually said to consist of a number of nuclei. Moos and Møller put the nuclei of the reticular formation in the following three groups: raphe nuclei, the paramedian group and the lateral group. NeuroNames instead groups it into the midbrain reticular formation, the pontine reticular formation and the medullary reticular formation.

Variation: Formatio reticularis
